THE FIRST VISIT
Brief Paperwork Upon entering the office, we have some brief paperwork for you to fill out. The paperwork provides us with general information about yourself and your condition. Consultation The consultation is your opportunity to discuss your health problems with Dr. Mills. Examination and Xrays Exams are generally considered a process of elimination and will often point to an accurate diagnosis. The x-ray is your structural bluepoint. The x-ray can also give tremendous insight into other problems, such as bone diseases, fractures and soft tissue masses. Other diagnostic tests (MRI, CAT Scans, etc) can be utilized. Treatment The treatment offered by this office can include various spinal adjusting techniques. Muscle testing (applied kinesiology) has proven very popular with patients. Reflex techniques (neurolymphatic and neurovascular) and trigger point therapy is often very effective. Various physical therapy procedures are utilized in this office. Home Instructions Prior to leaving, patients will be given instructions on certain activities or procedures to be conducted at home. This may include ice or heat application instructions, avoidance of certain activities or positions, as well as home exercises and/or stretches. Next Appointment You will be given a convenient appointment time for your follow-up visit. Generally speaking, patients are seen within 1-2 days and are provided with a complete review of findings. Treatment options for your condition will also be discussed during this time. |
